Learning Outside the Classroom at St Sampson’s High School gives our students fantastic opportunities to take place in a range of activities such as Student Leadership, various subject excursions, the Duke of Edinburgh Award and whole school events such as the Coastal Challenge Walk and Activities Week.
During our Summer Term we organise Activities Week for every student to take part in activities they would not normally get involved with. This is a great time to learn new skills, make new friends and to try something new.
In previous academic years, we have had more than fifty students completing their Duke of Edinburgh Award at Bronze or Silver level. Each person thoroughly enjoys the different activities such as pitching tents, cooking on a trangia and developing their first-aid skills. Each year we complete several expeditions in and around the Bailiwick of Guernsey.
